Alkagesta says its delivered marine fuels business in Singapore has reached approximately 250,000 tonnes a month, equivalent to around 5% of the local marine fuels market. The figures were published by Alkagesta Newsroom in an update marking a gathering of its Singapore team and colleagues from across the group during APPEC 2026. The company used the occasion to review the development of its Singapore operations over the preceding year.
According to the update, Alkagesta has secured storage capacity at Horizon Terminal as part of its efforts to establish a position in Singapore. It also reported growth in its distribution business in the short market and a significant expansion of its physical presence. The statement presented these developments alongside the monthly delivery figure, but did not provide a breakdown of volumes by fuel grade or specify the amount of storage capacity secured at the terminal.
Alkagesta attributed the scale of its delivered business to a gradual build-up of infrastructure, commercial relationships and market capabilities. It placed particular emphasis on the contribution of its locally based team, describing staff on the ground as central to the operation’s development. The update characterised its position in Singapore as having been established in a relatively short period, without giving a precise starting date or a comparable delivery figure for the previous year.
The company also credited co-operation between its Singapore colleagues and teams elsewhere in the group for the expansion. Its account was a corporate assessment of progress rather than a detailed operating report: the approximate monthly volume and market-share figures were company statements published through its own newsroom. The update did not set out a further expansion timetable or a new target for Singapore deliveries.
