Bunker & Barge Journal covers the physical and paper markets for marine bunker fuels: the price spreads between hubs, the barge schedules and delivery windows, fuel quality and off-spec disputes, terminal capacity and the emissions rules that decide which fuel a vessel can burn. We write for bunker traders, suppliers, barge operators, shipowners, terminal operators and the people who regulate them.

What we publish

Daily market reporting, weekly analysis, interviews with people who move cargoes, and dedicated coverage hubs for the companies we follow closely. Every story carries a content label — original reporting, aggregated coverage, press release, contributed or sponsored — so you always know what you are reading.

How we work

Reporting is sourced from named market participants, official filings, exchange and regulator data, and reputable trade sources. Where a story is built on another publication's work, we say so and link to it in an attribution footnote. We do not publish anonymous allegations about the companies we cover.

Commercial relationships never determine coverage. Sponsored material is labelled as such, is never written by the newsroom, and never appears as news.
